we love Mollie. She is a Border Collie. When we got her from the breeder, she taught us so much. She 'herds' everything in the house. it's really neat. she 'herds' her toys, our shoes, sox, and anything else that gets left on the floor.
Mollie loves to play in the water when I'm using the hose. She loves it when I vacuum the house. She goes crazy when we get ice out of our refrigerator. She has so much fun doing all of this that we have incorporated it into her exercise program.
Mollie is very intense. we've been told that she considers us to be her 'flock' that she is entrusted to protect.
She's our first Border Collie. I have such a respect for the breed now that I've watched her grow.
thanks for letting me brag.

my little Poodle is named Susie. She is so funny! we have a big fence in our backyard. 6 feet tall. of course, Susie is not going to jump that :). we knocked out some little 'peep-holes' in the fence at about 6-8 inches off the ground. Susie runs all over the yard, barking, then stops, runs to a peep hole and looks around. it is really funny.
Pets are great companions. We love your website. thanks for letting us tell you about our Little Susie. Jenny and Don Akers, Phoenix, Az.
"we have a bird named 'bertie' who loves to come out of his cage every morning and watch my husband shave, while sitting on the edge of the sink. when my husband rinses his razor, bertie jumps into the sink and plays under the faucet until my husband says ""move"" and then bertie jumps back on the edge of the sink. after shaving, bertie flies into the dining room and sits on the counter while we have our breakfast. after that, I play with a spray bottle for bertie in the kitchen sink (he's just waiting for that!) and then, when he's certain we're really finished, he goes into his cage to have his own breakfast and 'do his business'. this is our first bird, so we don't know if this is typical, but bertie has become very important to our routine. he's a parakeet. we love your website. evelyn jackson", "March 17, 2001","01:38 PM"

we have a cat named muffin (our daughter named her). muffin is a humane society pick and just perfect. she retrieves, so our daughter is able to have a playmate during the day when I'm busy. she and muffin just throw a piece of wadded up paper around. muffin runs after it, bats it around a while, then picks it up in her mouth and brings it back to heather. it's really fun to watch. they are best buds.

our german shepard, kelly, is a jewel. when we get home in the afternoon, we say 'walkie'?? kelly immediately runs to our tool shed, grabs his leash and meets us before we can get into the door. his reward (and ours) is a nice long walk and frolic. we get to calm down after our long day,and he gets our attention and some added exercise. we've found that when we walk him regularly, he doesnt get into as much mischef while we're away. a 'win-win'. delores spencer

What a great web site. I have had many pets during the past 20 years, mostly dogs and cats - mainly cats. I have flown with them, driven across country with them and loved them all. I now have two dogs and five cats and three kittens, two Manx cats. All have been strays. Keep up the good work. I will visit often.

I have always been an animal lover and have always had a great reporte with cats. About 11 years ago I purchased a beautiful white chinchilla male cat. I named him Sebastian. One day after he owned me for about four months, I was not feeling very well from the effects of a muscle disease that I had. As I laid in bed, feeling very badly, Sebastian walked up onto my chest-one paw went on either side of my neck and I thought he was going to bite me. I was pretty helpless at the time, movement for me then was very painful. Then he slid his little face down beside my chin on down to my neck and there he nuzzled for a moment. Tears streamed down my face for I had never been hugged by an animal before. He was my very best friend and I got quite a few hugs from him-friends were amazed at the actions of Sebastian. Sadly, last year Sebastian died of Kidney failure. I have three of his offspring, beautiful persians with wonderful personalities, not one can equal my beautiful Sebastian, forever etched in my memory and in my heart. I was so lucky to have him!

we got Harley at the humane society in vermont. what a happy guy he was! we had shopped for several weeks, looking for just the right 'mix' for our family. don't give up on your local humane society! they get new animals all the time, needing homes. the barking was loud, so many animals trying to get your attention. older doggies, whose owners had died. kind of sad, but still good to have a place to put pets in need. harley was just sitting there, wagging his tail, looking us right in the eye. almost smiling. he is about 5 years old. Austrailian Shepherd mix, we think. he is so friendly and so loving. we've had him for 1 year now. a perfect fit. We now take old towels and blankets to the humane society when we have them. they are a help with so many pets. Please chek your local humane society to see how you can lessen their load with donations. Our area does not euthanize. it's 100 percent adoption. that's the way it should be everywhere. spay and neuter. we owe it to our companions who share this planet.

Thankyou for caring, I've lost many pets over the years and it is never easy. I just had to put my 14 yr. old cat Maggie to rest, and it was the loss of a true friend. pattipetrulli@aol.com

petmorium,
I am really glad that there is a web site like this. I often wonder what I would do to help myself get over the loss of one of my kitties, Pumpkin-a long hair red tabby, and Gena-a long hair black and white solid. They are so much a part of my family, my husband and I tease each other because we have as many pictures of our cats as we do our kids. Keep up the good work.

I was blessed to have my best friend Butch in my life since I was 5 years old, I am now 20. He reminded me of the tramp from Lady and the Tramp. He was street smart and LOOVED to fetch. His favorite thing to fetch was rocks. He would dig up the gravel from the driveway and want to play fetch all day long. He use to steal my brothers skate board out from underneath him put his rock on there and skate down the street. He was the best dog in the universe. God called him to Heaven last Tuesday. I miss him so much. I sleep with a picture of him against my heart now since I don't have him here with me. I know God is taking good care of him.I want Butch to be the first thing I see when I get to Heaven, waiting on me to go play fetch with him like we have done 100,000 times before, I can't wait.
I miss and love you buddy I will see you soon.

I lost my beloved cat, "Floyd" over a month ago. It has been horrible without him. I love and miss him terribly. He was a very beautiful cat with superior markings. He had some funny moments. He liked to sleep on the dining room table on my furry placemats. When I got rid of the placemats he decided to sleep with us. In the winter he liked to sleep between the layers of our comforter. He was adorable inside. Another position he liked was on his back with his paws in the air. I wish he knew how much he is missed and loved. Patricia Learnard

Squiggy was the light of my life. I have never shared a bond with an animal like I did her. I watched her being born and my neighbors said"you get pick of the litter". Since I was a flight attendant, I told them I wasn't home enough to have a cat. And they said,"we'll cat sit!" So, I got a kitten. Well, she picked me. They told me "it" was a male. There was a black spot on the top of the head with this point in front..he looked like Squiggy of "Laverne and Shirley". Hence-the name. I took him to the vet at eight weeks and was informed that he was a she. The vet convinced me to keep the name. So, she remained "Squiggy". But, as she got older, the black spot disappeared...but, name remained. Marti-EAL F/A

Hi I am Chelsey Maiorano and I am 11 years old. I have some puppies named Dakoda, Rosco, McDuguil, and Tojo. Haveing some puppies is a very big responceability. My older dog that had all the puppies{Lily} gave me the reason to know that haveing a pet or some pets means you are responceable for there life. Lily was just dignosed with a her liver ruptured and a large tumer on the small intestant, that causes her to be very sick and all she does is lie around. The vet said she is looking very bad and we should just put her to sleep, and my parents agree to do just that. I just want to say thank you Lily for teaching me to be the responceable person I am today and dont worry I will take great care of the puppies. Rest in Peace may god be with you andonce again thanks!
