| We raised dogs in Europe. Our specialty was Irish Setters. Xanto was born into a litter of 14. We kept him. Over the years we moved several times, always taking Xanto along. He was a great dog. A beautiful dog. | |
| We only had one
problem with Xanto. He got loose a lot. That was a problem. when he got
loose, he has a tendency (alright a habit) of getting into other people's homes, usually
through an open window. When he got into other people's homes through an open window he usually came out with one of their shoes in his mouth. He regularly brought home shoes. I regularly went through the neighborhood, knocking on doors to find the owners. I guess he was just being certain we all knew each other. In that way, he performed an invaluable neighborhood service to us all. Maybe we didn't have a problem after all. We miss Xanto. |
